Mittuniversitetet (Mid Sweden University, MIUN) was established in 2005 and is thereby the "youngest" university in Sweden. Its Department of Health Sciences carries out a broad spectrum of research approaches on the welfare of society's problems and potentials, where the quality of life, health and security are essential components. International collaborative projects include a multinational comparative project on distribution of work within couples and their wellbeing.
