CIBERESP
CIBERESP stands for "Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Epidemiología y Salud Pública" (Networking Centre of Biomedical Research in Epidemiology and Public Health) and is one of the nine public consortiums set up under the auspices of Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII).
It is made up of 53 research groups, attached to 36 institutions forming the consortium. It focuses its activities on two key issues: the magnitude and distribution of public health problems and identify the determinants of these to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of interventions and public policies.
Tasks in SOPHIE
CIBERESP has acted as Third Party making its resources available to Agència de Salut Pública de Barcelona. Researchers working at Agència de Salut Pública de Barcelona, and hired through CIBERESP, carried out activities of management, dissemination and research, mainly on gender and migration.
